Falkirk return for ex-Hamilton midfielder Blair Alston
The midfielder has signed a two-year deal after a summer-long pursuit by the Bairns bosses.
Alston was back on his old stomping ground in the new season’s kit this morning to seal the deal, and aimed at restoring Falkirk to first the Championship and Premiership longer term.

"There was massive interest from other clubs and we are delighted to secure Blair’s signature.”
Alston, who left when the Bairns missed out on promotion to the Premiership in 2016 at Kilmarnock and joined St Johnstone, said the duo’s persistence paid off.
The 28-year-old said: "They were messaging me to see how things were going and trying to get me in. There’s something to be said for people showing that they do want you at a club.

"It’s a club where I played the best football of my career so hopefully I bring a bit of that back and try to progress.”
Alston will be returned to his number eight squad number for the new campaign which begins on TV against Dunfermline in the Betfred Cup.
