Falkirk off to Sligo in Irn Bru Cup

Falkirk fans are facing a trip across the water in the second round of the Irn-Bru Cup.

The Bairns were handed an away tie with League of Ireland side Sligo Rovers when the draw was made at the Falkirk Wheel on Thursday.

The tie will be played at the 5,500 capacity Showgrounds stadium on either Saturday, September 2, or Sunday, September 3, depending on TV selections.

Sligo currently sit second-bottom of the table in the League of Ireland, which is played between February and October.
