Falkirk midfielder Josh Todd has left the Bairns to move to Championship side Ayr United on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 26-year old has struggled for game time since joining the Bairns from Dundee in January 2020.

The former Queen of the South and St Mirren player’s Falkirk contract is up at the end of the season.

He will now be hoping to impress at Somerset Park as United sit seventh in the Scottish Championship table, four points clear of the relegation play-off ninth place spot and four points behind the fourth placed promotion play-off spot.

Ayr began the season under the management of former Falkirk midfielder Mark Kerr until he was replaced by David Hopkin.
