The Bairns will be expected to feed back their opinions on Ann Budge’s proposal by the end of this week, but again much hinges on the outcome in the top league with the Premiership’s 11-1 voting structure.

Gary Deans said: “We’re still in talks with the SPFL and other clubs and there does seem to be a willingness to address the key issues required in these talks we’ve been in.”

The SPFL have revealed an August starting target for the Premiership, and October has been mooted as a potential restart for the lower leagues in some quarters.
