No surprises who took full quota of Starshot points after coming to the rescue against Livingston on Tuesday.
*** Lee Miller: Falkirk’s go-to-guy. When the Bairns need an impact it’s more often than not Miller who makes it and this was no different.
Playing too deep in the first half and supplying chances more than taking them, he stepped forward in the second half and he, and Falkirk, reaped the rewards. Miller trained pre-season with Livingston, but returned to haunt them after Peter Houston changed his mind about signing the striker. The boss paid tribute to Miller after the game, praising his reaction to being dropped for three games in favour of 17-year-old Kevin O’Hara then boucning back with a bang – and a brace.
** Blair Alston: Falkirk’s in-form player has stepped it up in recent weeks and his work-rate can barely be matched. Laid on the opener for Miller to calm the Bairns nerves.
* Craig Sibbald: A step back towards his best. He’s struggled to hit the (particularly high) standards he set last season, but this was Sibbald back towards his best. Slippery footwork, driving runs at full-backs and chasing down when not in possession. Welcome back Craig.
