Falkirk players have named Michael McGovern as their player of the year for the second time in a row.
The goalkeeper lifted the award, voted for by his team-mates at the club’s annual awards dinner last night, at The Beancross.
Among other award winners were Stephen Kingsley - fans’ player of the year, and Blair Alston, who was rewarded for his sensational strike against Hamilton in the William Hill Scottish Cup quarter-final.
Lewis Small was the under-20s player of the year and Lyle Taylor was voted the fans’ player of the year at the event which also had SPL chief Neil Doncaster in attendance.
Prior to the awards, compered by club director Andy Thompson, the club’s sponsors received shirts and boot memoribilia from their nominated players, and as with the club tradition the squad picked walk-on images and music poking fun at their team-mates.
