Falkirk are on the hunt for a new goalkeeper after Jamie MacDonald was announced as Kilmarnock’s latest summer signing.

The goalkeeper was on a one-year deal at the Bairns but that expired shortly after the Scottish Cup final defeat to Inverness Caledonain Thistle.

MacDonald then took a family holiday to Florida but, just two days after returning home to Scotland, he penned a three-year deal at Rugby Park.

He told his new club’s website: “ I am delighted to have signed for Kilmarnock and to be playing in the Ladbrokes Premiership again. I’m really looking forward to working with Gary and helping the Club progress next season.”

He is re-united with former Hearts boss Gary Locke who added: “I am pleased to have signed Jamie, he is a top goalkeeper at a good age and will give us competition in that area. I believe a few clubs were after him so I am delighted he has chosen Kilmarnock”.

Falkirk’s remaining players re-convene for pre-season training a week today (June 29).
