Falkirk’s community foundation over-35s team saw off their Icelandic visitors in the special amateur match at The FRalkirk Stadium.

Throttur Reykjavik visited the Bairns on the first leg of their north British tour, taking in Falkirk, Stenhousemuir, Cumbernauld and Sunderland.

The teams were piped onto the pitch pre-match and it was the Scots on song with the bagpipes with a comfortable 5-1 win.

The organisers who brought Throttur’s senior side over to Scotland later said: “The lads thoroughly enjoyed themselves. A massive thank you to Falkirk 35’s for the match and hospitality. Good luck for the rest of the season.”
