Released Falkirk winger Andy Haworth has signed for Rochdale.
The forward, who spent six unhappy months with the Bairns returned to England today, signing on at Spotland for the remainder of the season under new manager Keith Hill.
It’s his second spell with the club, and the former Blackburn trainee also featured for Dale’s rivals Bury before his switch to Steven pressley’s side.
However it was an unhappy stint with Falkirk after Steven Pressley’s lengthy pursuit of the player. Haworth was on trial with Notts County but elected to sign a two-year deal with the Bairns which was torn up in December.
Haworth made only seven first-team starts in the league, scoring no goals and hadn’t played competitively since the November 17 defeat at Livingston.
