Former Falkirk boss Jim Duffy in hospital after heart scare

Jim Duffy, the youngest football manager in Britain when he took over Falkirk in 1988, is recovering from a heart attack.

The 61-year-old was taken to hospital in Glasgow on Saturday morning complaining of chest pains.

He is now recovering after tests showed he had suffered a heart attack.

Duffy is currently manager of Falkirk’s League One rivals Dumbarton.

Since starting his dugout career at Brockville, Duffy has gone on to manage many Scottish sides including Dundee, Brechin, Hibs, Morton and Clyde.

Well wishes have been sent from across Scottish football, including messages from East Stirlingshire and former Bairns player Willie McGuire.
