Falkirk will kick off the 2015-16 league campaign with a trip down the Clyde to Cappielow to face Championship new boys Greenock Morton.

The SPFL league fixtures were revealed today for all four leagues in Scotland and the Bairns’ season schedule has been mapped out.

Other notable fixtures include trips to new-boys St Mirren in September and a visit to ex-Bairn David Weir at Ibrox when Rangers host the Bairns on October 3.

The Bairns enjoyed victories over Hibs last term and will meet the Easter Road club first on September 5 at The Falkirk Stadium.

Mark Kerr and John Baird will return to their old club Queen of the South in the last league fixture of November, but the Doonhamers are in Falkirk on September 26 for an evening kick-off..

Peter Houston’s side round off the season with a tricky run-in, including visits to Hibernian, Queen of the South and Raith Rovers and home matches with St Mirren and Morton in the last month of 2015-16.
