Ryan McGeever and Scott Shepherd will leave Falkirk this month on short-term loans.
The defender will return to Arbroath where he spent the second half of last season after turning down a permanent switch.
However, he is heading to Gayfield on slightly different terms than a year ago when Gary Holt shipped him out.
Peter Houston said: “Ryan McGeever is incredibly unlucky not to be involved in the first team – he has been superb for the under-20s.
“But he needs game time and the pressures that go with playing in a first team, points mean prizes, stick from the stand, players playing for win bonuses – he needs to experience that side of the game too.”
Scott Shepherd is also likely to head out on loan. An unnamed club has made an enquiry and the Bairns forward is keen to take advantage of the opportunity of frequent first-team games with additional competition for places blocking his path at the Bairns with Taylor Morgan and John Baird arriving this week.
“Scott is another who needs game time, but it shows there is something or has been something going right at Stirling University with the calibre of young player being developed here.
“Ryan Blair is another breaking through, he’s an excellent prospect and will get his chance at the first team later this season, it’s unfortunate that he’s currently injured.”
Meanwhile Taylor Morgan’s transfer clearance came through to the Bairns’ Stadium HQ overnight and the Ostersunds striker is free to play this weekend.
“He’s an unknown quantity but he was planned to be Ostersunds’ number one striker until he picked up an achilles injury.
“Billy Reid is the assistant manager there and recommended him.”
