Who is new Falkirk manager Ray McKinnon?
Ray McKinnon was born in Dundee. He is 48 years old.
He joins Falkirk from Greenock Morton. He was manager at Cappielow for three months, having replaced Jim Duffy at the end of last season.
McKinnon led Morton to joint-top of the Ladbrokes SPFL Championship this season, including a win over Falkirk’s opponents today, Ross County.
Previously he has been manager of Dundee United, Brechin City and Raith Rovers.
As a player McKinnon was a midfielder, most prominent for Aberdeen and at Tannadice with Dundee United. He also played for Nottingham Forest, Luton Town and Livingston. He was capped by Scotland at under-21 level.
He combined playing and coaching roles in his latter years at junior clubs Broughty Athletic and Lochee United.
As a manager at senior level he has a win percentage of 47 percent.
He joins the Bairns with long-tiem assistant Darren Taylor.
