Falkirk’s fans were cheering on Saturday – but the Bairns brought cheer a few days earlier to the children at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
A delegation from the club including the entire first-team squad paid a visit to the sick kids’ ward handing out gifts and raising a smile from th e youngsters – including three-year-old Thomas Meikle from Stenhousemuir who was visiting his 18-month old sister Abbie.
And the Bairns were all smiles again on Saturday with a stunning win over Rangers thanks to goals from John Baird and Will Vaulks, not to mention a last-gasp penalty save from goalkeeper Danny Rogers.
Commercial manager Kieran Koszary said: “It was lovely to see the children andthe people at Strathcarron Hospice when we visited them ahead of Christmas.
“It’s important they know they are all part of the Falkirk family at this time of year.”
