Falkirk have signed Mark Kerr and Aaron Muirhead and both go straight into contention for Peter Houston’s squad.

The Bairns face Alloa at 3 p.m. today at The Falkirk Stadium.

Muirhead (24) is a defender and recently left Partick Thistle by mutual consent.

He started his career at Annan Athletic before moving to Firhill.

Muirhead has a local connection too – his uncle is former Stenhousemuir manager Davie Irons.

Mark Kerr needs little introduction to the Bairns having started his career at Brockville.

He starred 107 times until following Ian McCall’s path from Falkirk to Dundee United in 2003. Since then he’s played for Aberdeen, Dunfermline, Dundee, Partick and Queen of the South plus a spell in Greece with Asteras Tripoli.

Both deals were confirmed at 10 a.m. this morning.

A deal for striker Taylor Morgan is still being processed and relaint on the cross border transfer procedure with confirmation needed from FIFA and Osterlunds in Sweden who are currently in their close season.
