After a successful loan spell at Falkirk during the second half of the Bairns’ ‘invincible’ season, 22-year-old central midfield ace Dylan Tait has signed a permanent two-year deal.

And Falkirk gaffer John McGlynn has outlined his delight at the acquisition of a player who managed two goals and two assists in 15 appearances last term and one that he knows well from bossing at former club Raith Rovers.

“I’m delighted that Dylan has signed,” McGlynn said. “We really enjoyed working with him during the six months he was here last season.

"I think Falkirk fans have taken him to heart and I know that Dylan really enjoyed being here.

“It’s a real feather in our cap to get him because he’s a top player.

"He played a big part in the second half of last season with his performances.

“He’s got a very mature head on him in a footballing sense and he knows the game really well.

"He understands the way myself and Paul want to play and he’s a really good fit for us. These types of players are hard to find.”

Tait leaves Hibernian after spending three years as an academy player, during which time he had loan spells at Raith, Kilmarnock, Arbroath and Hamilton Academical.
