Falkirk clubs’ transfer round-up

Camelon built on last Wednesday’s signing of striker Stephen Docherty from East Kilbride with a host of contract renewals and further recruitment.

The Mariners have retained midfielders David Morrison and Ryan Kane, as well as defender Liam McCroary for next season.

They have also brought in former amateur goalkeeper Calum Gray to challenge Dean Shaw for a first-team place and provide back-up at Carmuirs Park.

Also incoming is Keir McAuley from Lowland League champions Kelty Hearts.

The left-back has signed until 2022 and manager Gordon Herd said: “We’ve been after Keir for a while to add a new dimension to our back four. He’s a very vocal player and fits the profile of the kind of young and hungry players we’re looking for. I’m grateful to the committee for backing us in this deal.”


East Stirlingshire also released details of their squad additions late last Wednesday, after The Falkirk Herald had gone to print.

Re-signing for the Shire will be goalkeeper Iain Ure, player-coach Andy Shirra, Adam Murray and Eddie Malone.

Former Stenhousemuir midfielder Kieran Gibbons will also make the move to The Falkirk Stadium, transferring from Lowland League rivals East Kilbride.

Bo’ness United have signed Nicky Locke from Broxburn.

Former Stenhousemuir midfielder Sean Dickson has signed for former Ochilview boss Brown Ferguson at Linlithgow Rose.
