There’s been little to separate Falkirk and Hibs this season – just two goals earned the Bairns the second place in the Championship league table – although Peter Houston’s side have been unable to defeat the Leith club this term.

That record is on the line tonight and Friday as both vy for the chance to take on Kilmarnock for a place in the SPFL Ladbrokes Premiership.

And the game could go either way according to the Brechin boss.

“Falkirk have had an excellent season,” he told The Falkirk Herald. “But Hibs have had a good result and are one a good little run.

“They have a lot of games, and more to come so it’ll be tough for Hibs but in the head-to-head this week you never know.

“I can see it being very tight. It’s two good teams playing each oteher. I would not be surprised to see it decided by penalties on Friday night.”

Hibs vs Falkirk is live on BT Sport from 7 pm.
