The keeper spent last season on loan at Westfield but is again available on-loan from Aberdeen.

The Bairns are interested in taking the Ireland under-21 stopper back, and are hoping to include him in the trip to Dublin next week.

Houston told The Falkirk Herald: “I’ve spoken to Derek McInnes about bringing Danny back and Danny has a decision to make – by tomorrow probably.

“He would maybe hope there’s a Premier League or an English side to come in for him, but he has to play, that’s the main thing.

“He loved his time here. I am hopeful and have given him until tomorrow to decide.”

Rogers has been back training with the Dons this week in St Andrews. Falkirk returned today (Thursday) with goalkeepers Deniz Mehmet and Lewis McMinn training with goalkeeping coach Derek Jackson.

“According to Derek he’s fine mentally and been doing well,” Houston added. “Naturally he’ll be disappointed [Aberdeen brought in Joe Lewis and Neil Alexander] but we’ll wait and see tomorrow and hopefully we’ll have him fixed up with us for next week.”

Rogers kept 15 clean sheets last season for the Bairns, playing 36 games.
