Alan, the older of the two, has scored 27 goals for the Mariners and finished top scorer at Carmuirs Park next season.

Like his brother, Stephen is a forward, and the Mariners’ boss Gordon Herd said the club fought off other admirers for the striker’s signature.

He said: “We’ve been after Stephen for a wee while and are delighted he agreed to come despite strong offers from other clubs. He will add another dimension to the side as we work towards winning the East of Scotland League. Hopefully him and his brother Alan can spur each other on!”

The players faced one another in a cup tie last season, just before the coronavirus closedown. East Kilbride ran out 5-0 winners at the K-Park.
