Bo’ness looked on course for a second round trip to face championship side Dundee when they led their Lowland League rivals at the break, Zander Miller tapping home the opener nine minutes from the interval.

But George Hunter levelled for the home side two minutes after the restart and Bo’ness were then undone by a crazy spell between the 55th and 62nd minute when they gave away three penalties, all converted by Lee Currie.

Hunter added a fifth for the New Dundas Park hosts in the 74th minute to end any hopes of an unlikely late Bo’ness revival.

Max Christie’s side did pull one goal back through Ryan Stevenson who headed home a corner three minutes from time, but the damage had long been done by then.
