Falkirk confirmed the move yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) as the midfielder joined a long list of Academy graduates to move on from the club, completing the move after travelling to Wales for a medical.

Blair has caught the eye of the Swans after continually putting in consistent performances for the Development League side and has been frequently involved in Peter Houston’s first team match day squads.

Falkirk boss Peter Houston said the teenager’s switch to the Premiership showed the benefits of the system in place at Falkirk for both club and player.

He said: “I have always said that we, as a club, would never deny a player the chance to go and further his career.

“Ryan has a lot of potential and will get the opportunity to continue his development at top class facilities. “It’s testament to the way we bring young players through that Ryan joins several others in getting a move and we wish him well.”
