Jack Compton’s first team exile is set to come to an end this weekend at Dunfermline.
Compton sat out of the last month of games after a breach in club discipline last month.
The winger has been seen around the first-team squad in the last fortnight, following his punishment to training with the Academy.
However Steven Pressley is happier with the winger after his break from the first team and Compton will make a return to the manager’s plans for this weekend’s rivals clash match.
It could still result in being the winger’s final performance for the Bairns.
Preston North End and Charlton Athletic are believed to be tracking the winger, who is still under contract and would command a transfer fee said to be anywhere between £50,000 and £200,000.
With Steven Pressley moving the equivalent of a matchday squad of players out of the club, Compton is one of few contracted players remaining with experience in the first team.
He became a fixture in the starting line-up after an explosive start to the season, having been a bit-part player in the SPL following his signing by Eddie May, who pipped Newcastle for his signature.
