Falkirk’s bowlers tasted success in the latter stages of the weekend’s Bowls Scotland Finals 2013 in Ayr.
The best local result was achieved by Camelon’s Iain Stewart on Thursday.
He secured the Gents’ Senior Singles title by winning 21-17 against John Arnott from Stranraer.

In the Gents’ fours final the club’s team of David Orr, David Orr Jnr, Murray Orr and Victor Malkiewicz conceded the game with the score 24-14 to Wellington Park.
Adrian’s Martin McCalley was edged out of the Gents’ Junior Singles by Lockerbie’s Gary Robertson, despite leading 19-17 in the 27th end. However the Galloway bowler scored three in the next end and sealed victory with a further point in the longest match of the day.
