A new investigative journalism podcast series from the JPI Media Investigations Team is launching today.
‘Uncovered’ will present original reporting from the team of investigative journalists across the UK, digging into the hidden stories waiting to be uncovered on our listeners’ doorsteps.
The first episode, hosted by data and investigations editor Harriet Clugston and investigative reporter Ethan Shone, will delve into the team’s latest project ‘An Unbroken Chain: Modern Slavery in the UK’.
More than five years after the watershed 2015 Modern Slavery Act was passed by the UK parliament – and sister legislation in Scotland and Northern Ireland – the team has found evidence of an utter failure to hold the perpetrators of these horrendous crimes to account.
