What a feast
TV’s The Great British Bake Off finalists, professional favourites and Park Plaza Hotels’ pastry chefs Domenico Camporeale and Alessandra Labarile are launching exclusive afternoon teas.
The venture will be their first since making the final of the hit show this summer.
Where are afternoon teas available?
Available at the centrally-located Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge, London between 1–5pm at weekends starting Saturday September 26 until the end of October, the talented pair will demonstrate their flair and baking know-how with a unique combination of traditional tastes and exciting flavours.
Set in front of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking some of London’s best-loved landmarks, the sumptuous savoury selection features Scottish smoked salmon, marinated in gin with dill cream cheese and classic cucumber sandwiches with mushroom duxelles, roasted pecan nuts and chilli flakes.
What are the tasty treats on offer?
Many more tasty treats are also set to tantalise the visitors’ taste buds.
The iconic view will be made even sweeter with signature patisseries tasty enough to win over even the harshest of critics.
A Lemon Verbena Light Mousse, with Granny Smith Apple, Candied Lemon Fluid Compote and Walnut Sponge is one of the highlights, alongside an eye-catching Egg Illusion (Coconut and Lime Mousse with Fresh Exotic Compote and Coconut Dacquoise Exotic Gel); the afternoon tea’s show stopper that’s good enough to eat! Priced at £39 per person, guests will also have the option to add champagne to mark the occasion.
A kid’s version is also available, for just £15 per child (up to 12 years-old). With highlights including a Jelly Filled Doughnut with Jam and Marble White Chocolate Red Velvet Lollipop cake pops served alongside classic savoury options, this gastronomic experience will make their day!
Domenico said: “We’re so excited to be launching this special afternoon tea and have worked hard to create a selection that will truly delight guests.
“The flavours featured reflect classic tastes that everybody knows and loves, with some exciting additions that elevate the flavours further to create an even tastier experience.”
Alessandra added: “Enjoying an afternoon tea is one of the best ways to spend a day out, and to be able to offer ours in such a fantastic location makes it even more exciting. We can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks!”
