Taking a nap makes you more productive, new study claims
To nap or not to nap, that is the question.
It may seem counterproductive but the key to getting more done in your day may be taking a quick snooze, according to new research.
93% more productive
A new study examined the napping preferences of 2,000 Americans and the personality traits associated with those who nap and those who don’t.

Hide AdThe results showed that self-identified nappers were more likely to identify as a productive person – at 93 per cent compared to 65 per cent of non-nappers.
They were also likely to be happier and more confident. 90 per cent of nappers said they were happy versus 79 per cent of non-nappers.
Meanwhile 89 per cent of nappers said they felt confident, versus 79 per cent of those who don’t take naps.
Conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Mattress Nerd, the survey also found the biggest upside of napping could be your career drive.

Hide AdThree-quarters of self-identified nappers described themselves as a career-driven person, but just over half of non-nappers said the same.
Eighty-three per cent of nappers also said they believe they have a healthy work-life balance, compared to just six in 10 non-nappers.

"No longer a sign of laziness"
Commenting on the findings, a spokesperson for Mattress Nerd said: "Napping is no longer a sign of laziness, but it’s another tool we can use to make us more productive in life."
