Following earlier disruption, water has now been restored to customers in the affected areas.
This morning saw some Scottish Water customers, specifically in FK1 and FK8 postcodes, experience no water.
The problem has now been fixed and water should be available in these areas.
However, local residents should note that they could face some discolouration to their water.
A statement on their website reads: “As supplies fully restore customers may experience some discolouration to their water, in order to clear this you should run just your cold kitchen tap at half pressure until the water stream runs clear.”

Scottish Water team also said: “We are continuing to deal with calls and respond to reports from customers across the country as a thaw sets in, following the heavy snow storms of last week.”
