A LARBERT teenager is to make her film debut as a sick schoolgirl- a part she won just a day after being released from hospital herself!
Rebecca Hutchins auditioned for the short film being made by Capricorn Productions after undergoing emergency surgery to remove her appendix.
Mum Frances said: "She had her operation after being ill for over a week.
"She was let out on the Monday and the casting was on the Tuesday at the UK Theatre school in Glasgow.
"They had said it wasn't going to be an active casting, so she went along and she did amazingly well."
The film, which had the working title Amanda but is to be released under the name 'Saved', is the story of what would happen if a major virus arrived in Scotland.
