Woman's handbag stolen as she walked along Bonnybridge street

A 24-year-old woman has been left 'shaken' after a pair of thieves stole her handbag as she walked along the street.

The incident happened as she was making her way along Bonnybridge Road between the entrance to Woodlea Gardens and Stewart Road last Wednesday.

The woman was walking in the Dennyloanhead direction when she passed two men coming towards her and one reached out and grabbed her bag before they both ran off in the direction of Stewart Road.

Investigating officer PC Martin said: “The 24-year-old victim was unhurt, but naturally shaken by her ordeal. I would ask anyone with information to please get in touch.”

Both suspects are described as being white males in their late teens. One was wearing grey cotton jogging bottoms, a grey hooded top with white laces at the hood and white trainers. The other had black jogging bottoms and top. There was a white emblem across the chest of the top.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
