Don’t delay if you want to nominate someone for this year’s community champion award.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Falkirk, the closing date is tomorrow (Friday) at noon.

Every year the club seeks nominees who are worthy of receiving the Community Achievement Trophy.

As well as the award, the person selected to take the title also receives a cheque for £400 to donate to the charity or worthy cause of their choosing.

The cash comes thanks to sponsorship from The Falkirk Herald and Phoenix Honda, now based in Stirling.

Nominations should be sent to: Rotary Community Achievement Award, The Falkirk Herald, Unit 4A, Gateway Business Park, Beancross Road, Grangemouth, FK3 8WX.

Don’t forget to include your own details as well as those of your nominee and why you think they deserve to be the winner.

Last year’s winner was Falkirk grandmother Margaret Coutts, who had been a volunteer with the Samaritans for over 45 years.
