Welcoming Maggie's Centre

Nina Barough, who set up Walk the Walk which organises MoonWalks across the world, said: “As the principle funder of the new Maggie’s Centre at Forth Valley, I am delighted to report that it is expected to officially open this summer, which will be wonderful news for those in the local community.

“As any of you who have had cause to use a Maggie’s Centre know, they are really an invaluable part of recovery and the journey through cancer.

“We are very proud to have granted funds to not only build Forth Valley, but also Gartnaval in Glasgow and part of the Lanarkshire Centre. Without your fundraising this would not have been possible! The picture below shows the work in progress.”

Nina also encouraged people to sign up for this year’s MoonWalk Scotland in Edinburgh. Previous events had raised the money to build the Forth Valley Maggie’s Cenre.

She added: “Join The MoonWalk Scotland now ... so that we can keep supporting these amazing centres and making a difference to the lives of cancer patients and families in Scotland!”
