Wedding of the Week: Suzanne Hamilton and Robert Churches

Suzanne Hamilton (32) comes from Denny and works as a civil servant, while Robert Churches (33) is an electrician from Dunipace. The couple live together in Stoneywood with their two-year-old daughter Rowan.

HOW THEY MET: The couple come from roughly the same area and had a lot of mutual friends. Robert was actually in the year above Suzanne in high school, but they did not become an item until 2002.

THE PROPOSAL: Robert proposed to Suzanne following a dinner out in Bridge of Allan in 2013, popping the question at Stirling Castle.

THE WEDDING: The couple were married on August 14 at Glenskirlie House and Castle in Banknock. They were joined by 82 guests in the day time and 120 at night for what Suzanne described as a perfect day with dry, sunny weather.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Best man was Robert’s lifelong pal Paul McGuckin and the bridesmaid was Suzanne’s sister Louise Sutherland. Flower girls were daughter Rowan and niece Abby.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple enjoyed a family holiday on the Isle of Arran with Rowan.

THANKS: Suzanne and Robert thank their parents and all the guests who attended their wedding.
