Wedding of the Week: Roxanne White and Lee Burgoyne

Roxanne White (31) is from Cupar, Fife and is a stay-at-home mum, while Lee Burgoyne (32) is from Falkirk and is a mechanical engineer for Scottish Canals. The couple stay in Redding with their two boys Lewis (5) and Harry (3).

HOW THEY MET: Roxanne met drummer Lee at one of his band’s – The Ray Summers – gigs. They got together in September 2010. Roxanne said: “We got on really well.”

THE PROPOSAL: Lee proposed on Roxanne’s 30th birthday when they went out for a meal at her brother-in-law’s restaurant The Cellar in Anstruther on July 17. 2015. Roxanne said she cried and laughed with happiness when she saw the ring.

THE WEDDING: They were married at Balbirnie House Hotel, Fife on January 20. 2017. They had over 100 day guests and a further 70 in the evening. Roxanne said the day was “perfect”.

WEDDING PARTY: The bridesmaids were Carrie Boyter, Jodie White, Rhianne Meekison, Amanda Kier, Natalie Miller-McCaskill, Natalie Horne and Sammy Mitchell. The best men were Stephen Burgoyne and Barry Cunningham and ushers were Stuart McCaskill and Billy Boyter.

HONEYMOON: The couple are going on a Mediterranean cruise in September.
