Wedding of the Week: Michelle Hextall and Gary Pugh

THE COUPLE: Michelle (36) is an account manager at Heart FM in Glasgow. Gary (40) is a branch manager at Kilsyth Co-op and is from Wales. The couple live together in Glasgow with their son Noah (3) and Gary's two children, Vincent (14) and Amy (12).

HOW THEY MET: Gary and Michelle met while at a Killers gig in March 2009.

THE PROPOSAL: Gary got down on one knee on a Saturday night in a busy Ashton Lane. Michelle knew it was coming but still enjoyed the nice surprise.

THE WEDDING: The couple were married on December 5, at Culcreuch Castle, the same day Storm Desmond blew into town. Michelle said: “The day was great despite a lot of people not being able to make it due to the weather.”

THE WEDDING PARTY: Gary’s best man was Steven Murray, one of his closest friends. Michelle’s maid of honour was her sister Cheryl. Amy was a bridesmaid, Vincent was an usher and Noah was a page boy.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple 
managed a mini-break to Madrid after the wedding and also travelled to Cape Verde with Noah in 
January.
