Wedding of the week: Margaret Bunyan and Neil Brownlie

Margaret Bunyan (32) is from Falkirk and a chartered accountant, while Neil Brownlie (33) is also from Falkirk and is a business controller. The couple stay in Falkirk.

HOW THEY MET: Margaret and Neil met at Bannatyne’s Health Club in Falkirk back in 2012. The couple hit it off in their second chance meeting in the jacuzzi and they have been together ever since.

THE PROPOSAL: Neil proposed to Margaret on the June 7, 2015 in Hesketh Park, Southport, whilst they were on holiday. Margaret said it was perfect.

THE WEDDING: They were married at New Lanark World Heritage Site on December 28, 2016 by Margaret’s uncle, Rev Canon Arthur Sinclair. They had over 90 day guests and more friends in the evening. It was the perfect fairytale winter wedding they had dreamed of.

WEDDING PARTY: Chief bridesmaid was Kirstin McIntosh, bridesmaids were Kate Auchinvole, Pamela Struth, Emilie Sinclair and Isabella Sinclair. Neil’s best man was Colin Hiddinga and his ushers were Michael Brownlie, David Bunyan, Russell Mainland and Callum Mainland.

HONEYMOON: The couple went on a mini moon to a luxury holiday cottage in Scotland and are going on a Western Mediterranean cruise in May.

THANKS: The couple would like to thank their family and friends for helping them celebrate their big day. A special thanks goes to Margaret’s parents for all their love and support.
