Wedding of the Week: Lynda Hynd and Mark Drummond

Lynda (31) is from Carron and worked in BTW, Costa and HSBC, while Mark (29) from Laurieston was a science teacher at St Mungo's. The couple now live in Australia where both continue with their careers in banking and education.

HOW THEY MET: The couple met in Firkins in Falkirk.

THE PROPOSAL: After a relaxing day at the hot springs and spa, Mark proposed to Lynda after giving her a box frame depicting the different events in their relationship – from meeting in Firkins, moving to Australia, getting their pug Juno, and then getting engaged.

THE WEDDING: The wedding was held at Little Blue Restaurant at the end of St Kilda Pier in Melbourne on April 1. There were just under 50 guests from Scotland and Australia. It was a beautiful autumn day in Melbourne – 25 degrees and sunny.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Bridesmaid was Lynda’s best friend Laura McNiven and best man was Mark’s brother, Gregor Drummond, with both flying in for the ceremony. Pug of honour was Juno, while best pug was Flynn.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple are honeymooning in Scotland, Vietnam and Singapore
