Wedding of the Week: Gillian Wright and Stuart Ryan

Gillian (28) from Falkirk is a nursery nurse at FVRH, while Stuart (34), originally of Cumbernauld, is an accredited trainer at Webhelp. The couple live in Carron.

THE PROPOSAL: Celebrating their first anniversary together, the couple had a day out in Edinburgh. At the top of the Camera Obscura, Stuart took Gillian into a private turret room and popped the question. She said it was very romantic and loved the ring he had chosen.

THE WEDDING: At Glenskirlie House on March 19 they were joined by 80 guests during the day and another 50 in the evening. Gillian said it was a perfect day and the sun even shone.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Gillian’s sister Catherine Myhill was chief bridesmaid, and friends Melissa Borthwick and Lorraine Maxwell bridesmaids. Niece Ashleigh Myhill (2) was the adorable flower girl. Stuart’s two best men were friends Gregg Acreman and Andy Dodds, while brothers Joe and Paul Ryan, and brother-in-law John Myhill were ushers.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple enjoyed two weeks in Costa Rica.

THANKS: Thanks to Gillian’s parents Helen and Ronald Wright for the wedding, and Stuart’s mum, Jean Ryan, and brother Paul for the honeymoon.
