Wedding of the Week: Claire Brown and Steven Boyle

Claire Brown (25) is a support services assistant originally from Stirling and Steven Boyle (31) from Falkirk is a joiner with Edinmore. The couple live in Bainsford.

HOW THEY MET: The couple first met 12 years ago when they joined Denny and Dunipace Pipe Band and started going out seven years ago.

THE PROPOSAL: Steven planned to pop the question when they were in Glasgow to visit the Winter Wonderland. However, he realised that a proposal on an ice rink “could have gone so wrong” and instead asked Claire to marry him when they were in the Citizen M hotel.

THE WEDDING: They were married in the Grange Manor Hotel in Grangemouth on April 30 where they were joined by 90 guests with a further 40 guests in the evening. Claire said the whole day was “brilliant”.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Claire’s sister Donna Brown and friend Vicki McKendrick were her bridesmaids. Steven had his cousin David Shanks as his best man and friend Martin Bayne as his usher. Page boys were nephews Nathan (6) and Callum (4) Kerr.

THE HONEYMOON: The newlyweds enjoyed four nights in Majorca and are going to Florida this August.
