Wedding of the Week: Alana McNee and Jose Sanchez

Alana McNee (30) is from Falkirk and is a staff nurse at NHS Forth Valley, while Jose Sanchez (30) is from Maddiston and is an assistant funeral director in Falkirk. The couple stay in Maddiston with their little boy Noah (1).

HOW THEY MET: Alana and Jose knew each other from their days at Graeme High School. They lost contact before getting together towards the end of 2012 when they went through to the Christmas market in Edinburgh.

THE PROPOSAL: Jose proposed on April 12, 2014, during a Glasgow shopping trip. It was Alana’s birthday the next day and she was delighted with the ‘extra gift’ when he popped the question. She said it was quite a shock.

THE WEDDING: The couple were married on March 4, 2017 at The Three Kings in Shieldhill. There were 90 day guests and a further 60 at night. Alana said it was perfect from start to finish.

WEDDING PARTY: Alana’s maid of honour was Larissa McNee, the bridesmaid was Claire Wright, best man was Mark Fowler, usher was Michael Dickson, flowergirls were Grace and Lucy Dickson and the page boy was Noah.

HONEYMOON: They spent a couple of days in the Lake District in Cumbria and are going to Tenerife in July.
