The wedding of Lisa Collins and Robert Duncan.
THE COUPLE: Lisa (32), from Brightons, works in advertising and Robert (34) from Carnousite, is a student. They live in Glasgow.
HOW THEY MET: They were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend in 2000 when they both lived in Dundee.
THE PROPOSAL: Lisa and Robert were living in Sydney, Australia, in 2008 when he popped the question in a bar. Lisa said: "It
was February 29 and traditionally the one day in four years a girl
can propose but Bob surprised me and got down on one knee. I was
shocked as I had no idea what he was planning."
THE WEDDING: Bob and Lisa were married on September 4 at Fingask Castle
in Perthshire in front of 80 guests, with a further 50 joining them at night. Lisa's aunt Linda Blair, a registar with Falkirk Council, was given permission to marry them and the day was perfect from start to finish.
THE WEDDING PARTY: Best man was David Hunter and bridesmaids were Susan
Stevenson, Melissa Ness, Coral Masson and Sadia Tufail. Ushers were Graeme Smith, Ioin Duncan and Stuart Crawford.
THE DRESS: Lisa wore a strapless Allan Hannah classic Hollywood style gown with a bustier top and full skirt. The bridesmaids wore midnight blue dresses with ivory sashes and all the men were kilted.
THE HONEYMOON: The couple journeyed to Marrakesh in Morocco for a week
before Robert had to be back for college.
