Weather causes further disruption for First Bus

As a result of flooding and adverse weather conditions, First Bus services will face further delay today.

Normal services are expected to operate except following disruption:

Service 38/38A - diversion route between Winchburgh and Newbridge due to road closure at KIrkliston.

Service 2B – Terminating at Denny Cross.

Service F25 – service withdrawn.

Service 5A/5C – Omitting Bo’mains Turning Circle.
A statement on their website reads: “All other services are operational but they are subject to delays due to weather and road conditions.

“We apologise for any inconvenience however, these disruptions are outwith our control.”

These delays are following a yellow weather warning between 1pm and 11pm tonight issued by the Met Office.

Falkirk could be affected further by extreme weather conditions and locals are advised to travel with care.

The Met Office said: “A band of rain, sleet and snow will continue to affect northern and eastern Scotland on Tuesday afternoon gradually easing from the south later in the afternoon and during the evening.

“The rain combined with snow melt may lead to some surface flooding of roads.

“Clearer spells overnight may lead to some icy surfaces.”
