Weather alert brings restrictions on Forth Road Bridge
The Forth Road Bridge has closed to double-decker buses and high-sided vehicles due to widespread gale conditions.
A Met Office yellow “be aware” warning for wind remains in place until midnight, with inland gusts of 50-60mph expected across eastern parts of Scotland.
The restriction, confirmed by Traffic Scotland at around 1.45pm on their Twitter feed, could cause some disruption ahead of the evening rush hour.
