Unexplained death in Polmont

Police Scotland say they received a call of concern for the welfare of the 61-year-old at around 6.30pm on Monday and required the assistance of the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service to gain entry to the property.

A spokesperson said: “Police in Forth Valley were called to an address in Abbotsview, Polmont at around 6.30pm on Monday, April 3 following a report of concern for a person.

“The Scottish Fire & Rescue Service was called to assist and entry was forced to the property.

“The body of a 61-year-old man was found within and the death is currently being treated as unexplained, however, there are not currently thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding this.

“A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
