Two men have been rushed to hospital following an accident in Grangemouth this morning.

A Ford Puma car was involved in a collision with a lorry near the Asda supertstore at around 8.30 a.m.

The men, believed to be the two drivers, were taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert suffering from serious injuries.

Central Scotland Police closed Dock Road between the Asda roundabout and the junction with South Shore Road while investigators examined the scene.

Access to the supermarket is barred from South Shore Road and North Shore Road, but it can still be reached via Station Road.

It is not known when the road will reopen.
