A television presenter from Airth has died suddenly at her family home.

Michelle Watt, the daughter of Scottish boxing legend Jim, was well-known for presenting a number of primetime TV shows, including STV’s The Hour, 60 Minute Makeover and Club Cupid.

The 38-year-old mother-of-one passed away on Wednesday at the home in Douglas Avenue she shared with car sales manager husband Paul Kerr (43).

Police said there were no suspicious circumstances.

DJ and stand-up comedian Des Clarke, who worked with Michelle on Club Cupid, tweeted a message of condolence this morning.

“So sad to hear about Michelle Watt,” he said. “What a lovely person, a pleasure to know and work with. Just tragic. My heart goes out to her family.”

A police spokeswoman said: “Police in Forth Valley were called to an address on Douglas Avenue, Airth, around 6.15 p.m. on Wednesday where the body of a 38-year-old woman was found.

“There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
