Wallacestone Brae to close for road resurfacing works while Redding bridge reopens

Wallacestone Brae will be closed to traffic on Monday and Tuesday to allow road resurfacing work to be carried out.

Two bus routes will be diverted as a result.

The 40 service from Falkirk - California will operate via Newlands Road and Redding Road and will not call at Waggon Road or Wallacestone Brae.

The E22 service from Falkirk – Wallacestone – Whitecross will operate via Redding Road and Maddiston Road. It will not serve Newlands Road, Wallacestone Brae or Sunnyside Road.

The services will revert to their normal routes from Wednesday, September 10.

Meanwhile, Redding Road railway bridge will reopen to traffic on Thursday, September 11 for the first time in six months after works associated with the mainline improvement programme were completed. The road bridge at Polmont station will close for five days on Friday to allow exploratory work to be carried out.
