Rail commuters are facing disruption in Falkirk district after a tree was blown onto tracks by high winds.

ScotRail has said it is sending “chainsaw gangs” to the scene, between Polmont and Falkirk High, to resolve the issue.

Speed restrictions have been put in place between the stations as a result of this morning’s high winds, meaning services between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street could be delayed.
