Traffic snags and footpath closure on A985 Kincardine Bridge

Traffic on the A985 Kincardine Bridge will be reduced to single lane from Monday until Monday, April 6, to allow essential concrete repairs to take place.

Road users are asked to allow additional time for their journey as a result of the work, which will take place between 6am and 5pm each day.

The repairs scheme centres on the bridge’s southern piled viaduct.

Meanwhile there will be intermittent closures of the northbound footpath from 10am to 3pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.

These closures are to allow access to the areas of the control room and engine room in the central swing span of the bridge.

The closures will be controlled by Stop/Go Boards, with northbound footpath traffic being diverted to the southbound footpath.
