Staff praised for saving footballer's life
The 57-year-old was playing football at the Bo’ness Recreation Centre when he suffered a cardiac arrest.
Falkirk Area Commander, Chief Inspector Damian Armstrong, said the “quick” actions of staff, as well as access to defibrillators in the centre, helped save the man’s life.

Hide AdMr Armstrong said: “I would like to take this opportunity to commend staff members at Bo’ness Recreation Centre who successfully used defibrillators last night after a 57-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest whilst playing football.
“Quick thinking and action under pressure takes courage and can save lives.”
